About this service

A high-level alarm is sounding
The pit is filling faster than the pump can empty it, or the pump has stopped. Reduce water use straight away and give us a call.
Odours around the pit
Sewage smells near a pump pit can mean a damaged lid seal, a venting problem or a pump that is no longer clearing the pit properly.
The pump runs but the level stays high
A blocked impeller, a jammed non-return valve or a worn pump can leave the motor running without moving much water.
Flooding at a low point after rain
If a basement, driveway pit or low-lying area floods in heavy rain, the stormwater pump may have failed, be undersized or have a stuck float switch.
